What the Shellspen Suspension System is:

The ready mix Shellspen Suspension System (when mixed with base supplies) is a non-settling ceramic shell slurry. It is used for coating wax sculpture and pattern forms of every size and scale in the Lost-Wax ceramic shell bronze casting process.

The Shellspen™ Suspension System Kit for 5 gallons works with most Colloidal Silica Binding liquids and Fused Silica (white) or Alunminasilicate alumina (grey) flours and stuccos. Just

call, fax, or email us anytime to ask how easily it works with your base materials.

The Shellspen™ Suspension System Kit (SSS) comes with Complete Directions, Coating Charts and back up Tech support.

We have the Solution!

We now have the Solution for the Shellspen Complete Kits (all the products necessary for the ceramic shell process in a  box), as previously available through Johnson Atelier JASACS Sculpture Supplies Division. We have been working closely with Remet® Corporation in Utica, NY, and are proud to introduce them as our preferred supplier. Contact Customer Service or the Inside Sales Department at Remet: 1-800-445-2424. They are knowledgeable about the ceramic shell process and the Shellspen system, and have worked closely with us to perfect and now offer the:

New SHELLSPEN™ and REMET® COMPLETE KITS

Available in convenient sizes to match or exceed our previous Complete Kits at a cost savings to you! Featuring more materials, the high quality of the REMASOL® Colloidal Silica binding liquids have been proven to suspend with excellent results with the Shellspen™ Suspension System Kit, offering a long shelf life after your slurry has been mixed. As always with Shellspen, you will not need timed mechanical mixers running continuously 24 hours a day.

We are recommending the new Shellspen™/ Remet® Complete Kits for use with our Shellspen™ Suspension System Kit for 5 gallons.

The combination of the two makes it easy for you to make your own Ceramic Shell Process right from the box. You will get fingerprint detail in your castings without needing timed mechanical mixers.

Remember, we are always here to offer you Technical Support when using Shellspen Products and the Ceramic Shell Process.
