Black Soapstone This imported stone is one of the harder soapstones.
It polishes to a pitch or ebony black and is very pure
and fun to carve. Not to be confused with the lighter
black soapstone from Virginia.

Brazilian
Soapstone This imported stone is very, very soft; its color
ranges from light to dark tan. It is easily carved and
polished, but due to its softness it can also bruise.
Deep
Ocean Green Soapstone This imported stone is soft; its coloring is
composed of various shades of a very deep dark green.
This is a very pure stone with no striations. Easy to
work on, this is a great beginner’s stone.
